Custom kiosk
software development
A simple touch screen.
A connected business process.
Give drivers, staff and operators a clear next step — and connect every action to the systems behind your business.

The right interface.
In the right place.
A standard kiosk package may suit a standard transaction. Operational sites often need something more specific: the right order list, a vehicle check, a weight reading, a printed label or a particular approval before work can continue.
We start by understanding those steps. The aim is to give users a focused interface while ensuring the information reaches the people and systems that need it. Your team should not have to retype a completed kiosk transaction into another application.
As part of our bespoke software development service, we can build a new kiosk application or connect a dedicated front end to an existing business system.
Driver check-in and collections
Guide drivers through vehicle identification, transport-company selection, order lookup and collection completion. Where required, connect recorded weights, receipts and delivery documents to the transaction.
Warehouse and production tasks
Bring focused scanning, stock enquiries, job updates or production recording to the place where work happens. Define the checks and exception routes for each task before development begins.
Staff and site check-in
Create a clear arrival or attendance workflow that reflects your site rules. Agree which information is needed, who can see it and what should happen after each check-in.
Each project is scoped around your users, site and operational requirements.
One workflow. All the right connections.
Touch-screen interfaces
Build around the screen size, orientation and viewing distance. Clear labels, large controls and short sequences help people complete a task without navigating a full office application.
Barcode and QR scanners
Use scanning to identify a record, order, vehicle or item where it benefits the workflow. Plan a manual alternative when a label cannot be read or a scanner is not fitted.
Printers and weighbridges
Generate labels, receipts or delivery notes from the transaction. For weighing workflows, agree the equipment connection, units, reading checks and operator fallback. Compatibility depends on the selected device, drivers and available interfaces.
ERP, databases and APIs
Connect the kiosk to the information your business already uses. Define which system owns each record and when updates become final, so retries or interrupted sessions do not create avoidable duplicate transactions.
From driver check-in
to delivery paperwork.
The MillInsight Delivery Kiosk brings bulk flour collections into one connected workflow, using live orders, optional QR scanning and recorded vehicle weights.
Receipts, delivery notes and configurable invoicing follow the transaction. Operators can find recent deliveries, make corrections and reprint documents.
From first conversation to a working kiosk.
Understand the site and users
We review the task, current paperwork, equipment, existing software and situations that need staff assistance. Together we identify a focused first scope and what a successful transaction should look like.
Design the journey and integrations
We map the screens, required fields, validation and system connections. This includes practical questions such as abandoned sessions, unreadable codes, printer failures and unavailable network connections.
Build and test with your team
We develop the software and refine it with your feedback. Testing should cover the agreed hardware, ordinary transactions and exception routes before the kiosk is relied on in daily operations.
Deploy, support and improve
We agree installation, configuration, staff guidance and support arrangements. Further workflows can be added as requirements develop, with changes tested against the existing process.
A maintainable foundation
Our development experience includes Microsoft .NET and Blazor, the technologies used in the MillInsight Delivery Kiosk. Shared application components can support a consistent experience across suitable web and desktop deployments.
We choose the delivery approach around your site and equipment. This includes where data is held, how updates are installed and what staff should do when a device or connection is unavailable.
Your kiosk questions, answered.
Hardware, integration and deployment choices shape the solution. We work through the practical details with you.
Can you work with our existing kiosk hardware?
We can assess it at the start. Screen dimensions, operating system, scanner behaviour, printer drivers and device interfaces determine what can be reused and what needs changing.
Can the kiosk connect to our existing software?
Integration can be scoped around the APIs, supported database access and permissions available. We establish the data flow and ownership of records before committing to the design.
Will the kiosk work without an internet connection?
That depends on the deployment and workflow. A site-local system may not need public internet access, but it can still depend on a local server or network. Offline operation, if required, needs explicit design and testing.
How much does custom kiosk software cost?
Cost depends on the number of workflows, integrations, devices and deployment requirements. We first agree the scope and priorities, then provide a proposal based on the work involved.
Can you support the software after launch?
Ongoing support and further development can be included in the agreed service. We define responsibilities for the application, hosting and hardware so your team knows where to get help.
