Bing AI Chat Enhancements

Microsoft has unveiled a significant enhancement to its Bing AI, specifically targeting the chatbot’s ‘Precise’ mode.

For those familiar with Bing AI, it operates in three distinct modes: Precise, Balanced, and Creative. While the Precise mode is designed to offer concise and factual responses, the Creative mode allows for more expansive and imaginative replies. The Balanced mode, as the name suggests, finds a middle ground between the two.

Mikhail Parakhin, the lead for Advertising and Web Services at Microsoft, announced the completion of a substantial update to the Precise mode.

Direct, uninfluenced answers from the AI, potentially speeding up response times by eliminating the need to scour the web for additional information.

Regarding the ‘no search’ feature, it appears that it will be introduced as a plug-in rather than a core feature of Bing AI. This update is still in the pipeline, as confirmed by Parakhin, and will be part of the broader plug-in release. Kudos to Neowin for highlighting this development.
